‘The Big Dog’ returned to Monday Night RAW last night, and it was for a very good reason.
Roman Reigns announced in front of a packed crowd in Atlanta, Georgia that his cancer in remission and he will be stepping foot inside a WWE ring once again.
Reigns revealed that his leukaemia had returned in October, after an original diagnosis in 2002. The former WWE Universal Champion told a jubilant WWE Universe on Monday Night RAW the good news, saying;
“I said I was going to swing for the fences. We did better than that, y’all. We didn’t just swing for the fences. We hit a home run. So when I tell you this, I’m so grateful and so humbled and so honored to announce this,” Reigns began. The good news is, I’m in remission, y’all. So with that being said, the Big Dog is back!”
That wasn’t all for Roman, as he and Seth Rollins not only embraced on the ramp post-announcement, but also shockingly saved their former Shield brother Dean Ambrose from a four-on-one assault.
