INTERESTING ROYAL RUMBLE BETTING ODDS

Betting and professional wrestling have always made odd bed fellows, but it seems where peoples opinions differ, many are prepared to put their money where their mouth is. UK betting site skybet has released odds on the winner of both the men’s and women’s rumble matches. Both offer up some surprises, but one of the top picks doesn’t even work for the company at this point.

Ronda Rousey comes in as top pick in the women’s bracket, followed by Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane. There is a real desire for Ronda to return at the moment, while there has been no word from either WWE or Rousey, the Royal Rumble would be the perfect moment to reintroduce the star. At the opposite end of the scale, Maria Kanellis, Paige, and Stephanie McMahon all have odds of 150/1.

On the men’s side, Roman Reigns takes top spot after missing last year’s event while recovering from leukaemia. The second place pick according to the betting odds is CM Punk. Punk doesn’t currently work for WWE, and has expressed no interest in doing so in the future, this doesn’t seem to disuade the book makers however. Third place goes to Bray Wyatt, while WWE newcomer Cain Velasquez is sixth favourite. Reading down the list there are some fantastic possibilities alongside the standard dream match fodder such as The Rock (20/1), Stone Cold Steve Austin (100/1), Hulk Hogan (100/1), and the ever present Vince McMahon (250/1). The are several names from other sports, Rob Gronkowski (66/1), Conor McGregor (50/1), and Tyson Fury (20/1). And there are some names which would be shocking, Chris Jericho (100/1), Dean Ambrose (100/1), and Goldust (250/1).

It has been that he was intending to use the messages to fuel the brand rivalery, and would have brought them up the next evening. Mauro missed the following night’s Survivor Series pay per view, and also last Wednesday’s NXT show.
