ROMAN REIGNS WINS WWE’S FIRST ESPY
ESPN has revealed the winner of the first WWE specific ESPY. The category was best WWE moment of the year. The moment chosen was, of course, Roman Reigns return from battling cancer on the February 25th episode of RAW.
Speaking after the awards Reigns said:
“For me just to be able to be healthy was the only award I needed. This is just so flattering for everyone to kind of lift me up and show me that I have that support system and that love from everybody. It was never about awards or anything like that. It was just about awareness, it was just about sharing my story and hopefully someone could use it for a little bit of hope.”
JON MOXLEY EXPLAINS ABSENCE FROM G1 NIGHT 1
Jon Moxley has been popping up all over the place recently. Since leaving the WWE he has become one of the most talked-about people in professional wrestling. One of the new pastures he is exploring this year is NJPW’s G1 Climax. With Moxley currently holding the IWGP United States belt, and entered into the tournament, fans were disappointed not to see him at the first night of the tournament, held in Dallas, Texas.
Speculation has been rife with potential reasons for Moxley’s absence, with many assuming that AEW had blocked Jon’s appearance on the show. Moxley recently sat down with the Store Horseman and cleared up many of the rumours.
Moxley says that he simply had a prior engagement, he wasn’t available and so he will start on the 13th of July as planned:
“I wasn’t booked on that to begin with. That is nothing. I was previously engaged when this happened. So, I will start on July 13th.”

AEW ANNOUNCES MORE TALENT FOR FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN
Earlier today, AEW announced that both Britt Baker and Bea Priestley would be in action at Fight for the Fallen. The announcements came through the companies Twitter account.
The messages were strangely vague, with each message simply reading that the respective stars would be “in action”. Although we currently have no idea what this could mean, we will be watching this closely in the lead up to the show.
