GOLDBERG RETURNING TO WWE ON FRIDAY NIGHT

On last night’s episode of RAW, WWE announced that Goldberg would be returning to the WWE. The reveal came in a video, with a voice over informing us that on Friday’s episode, we’d find out who was next.

With WWE Super ShowDown coming up at the end of the month, most assume that his latest return will start a build to another match in Saudi Arabia. Although he has only taken part on one event in Saudi so far, the regime are known for requesting stars who were big during the ’90s and early ’00s.

SAMOA JOE NOT SUSPENDED

Yesterday the rumour started going round that Samoa Joe had failed a wellness policy test and was to be suspended.

Earlier today, PWInsider reported that their sources “vociferously denied” that Joe was suffering any suspention. Although he wasn’t present at last night’s episode, it is believed that this becuase he is recovering from a concussion, and therefore not cleared to compete. The announcers noted as much, saying that he had picked up the injury during last week’s RAW.

CHARLOTTE FLAIR TO ANSWER RHEA RIPLEY ON WEDNESDAY

After Rhea appeared on last night’s episode of RAW to challenge Charlotte to a WrestleMania match, it seems the queen is set to return the favour and crash NXT this week.

WWE has announced that the former NXT, RAW, and SmackDown champion will be responding to Rhea’s challenge on this Wednesday’s NXT show.

Charlotte won the right to face any champion of her choice after winning the women’s Royal Rumble match. She has only held the NXT Championship once, defeating Natalya to win the vacant title on the 29th of May 2014. She managed to hold on to it for 256 days, defeating the likes of Summer Rae, Bayley and Sasha Banks during this time. She lost the title to Sasha Banks at NXT TakeOver: Rival in a Fatal Four Way match.

SECOND MATCH ANNOUNCED FOR SUPERCARD OF HONOR XIV

Announced early today, KENTA and Taiji Ishimori will face Jeff Cobb and Dan Maff in a tag match at Supercard of Honor.

Cobb and Maff have a match against current ROH Tag Champions, Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham this Sunday. If Maff and Cobb win, or the match goes to a time limit draw, Cobb and Maff are garunteed to get a title shot in the future.

KENTA and Ishimori vs. Cobb and Maff joins Marty Scurll vs. Jay White as the only announced matches thus far. Many other stars have already been confirmed for Supercard of Honor, including NWA Champion, Nick Aldis, Amazing Red, Rocky Romero, El Phantasmo, and Will Ospreay.

ZACK SABRE JR. VS WILL OSPREAY ANNOUNCED FOR HIGH STAKES

RevPro has announced a huge match for their upcoming High Stakes event, set for ten days time on the 14th of February.

Current British Heavyweight Champion, Zack Sabre Jr. will defend his title in the main event of the High Stakes show against Will Ospreay. This is a rematch from NJPW’s New Beginning, Sapporo Night Two event, where Sabre prevailed, retaining his title.

The match was only made this morning, Ospreay, Kazuchika Okada, SHO, and YOH faced Sabre, Taichi, El Desperado, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru in an elimination match. It came down to Zack and Will, with Ospreay picking up the win. After the match Ospreay cut a promo, challenging Sabre to another title match.

PROGRESS ANNOUNCE ANTI FUN POLICE VS MORE THAN HYPE

Ealier today Progress Wrestling announced a huge 6-man tag team match, set for Chapter 103.

No Fun Dunne, Los Federales Super Santos Jr., and Travis Banks will team up to take on Darren Kearney, LJ Cleary, and Nathan Martin at the Electric Ballroom, Camden, London, on the 23rd of February.
