SASHA BANKS SET TO RETURN ON FRIDAY

WWE has announced that Sasha Banks will be returnign to the rign this Friday night.

Banks is set to face Nikki Cross, this will mark her first match since injuring her tail bone while facing Becky Lynch at Hell in a Cell.

Cross faced Bayley last week with the SmackDown Women’s title on the line. Banks was present at ringside and pushed Cross off the top rope at a curtial moment, allowing Bayley to retain the title. WWE posted the following on their website:

Sasha Banks last competed in a Hell in a Cell showdown against Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Since that devastating defeat, The Boss has rallied behind her close friend Bayley by lending a hand to the SmackDown Women’s Champion in her victory over challenger Nikki Cross.

Now Cross seeks payback for The Boss’ involvement and the role she played in costing the former Women’s Tag Team Champion a chance to win the title.

SmackDown will be coming from the Manchester Arena, Manchester, England this Friday, as will RAW the following Monday. This evening the WWE is kicking their European tour off with a house show in Brighton, England

CAIN VELASQUEZ REMOVED FROM MEXICO MATCH

Back in October WWE announced that Cain Velasquez’s second match would be taking place at WWE Supershow in Mexico City.

The match was supposed to feature the former UFC Heavyweight Champion teaming up with Rey Mysterio to face Andrade and Drew McIntyre.

WWE released an updated card for the event today, while Cain is still listed as appearing, he is no longer scheduled to have a match. WWE has given no reason for this change at present.

RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED FOR STEPHANIE MCMAHON’S MEMOIR

PWInsider has announced that Stephanie’s long awaited memoir has a publishing date.

The book, titled ‘Unreal: Inside the Crazy, Fun Show Business World of WWE’, is set to be released in August of 2020. The book has been delayed for four years, with Setphanie joking that other stories had to be told before her’s. The book is listed for sale on Amazon, with the following blurb attached:

MATCHES CONFIRMED FOR NEXT WEEK’S NXT

WWE has confirmed two matches for next week’s episode of NXT.

The first see’s Angel Garza challenging for Lio Rush’s Cruiserweight title. Rush won the title from Drew Gulak on the 9th of September episode of NXT. While Rush has certainly not been taking it easy, next week’s match marks his first title defence with his first WWE title, this will also be the first time the two have met in the ring.

The second match announced is a ladder match between Mia Yim and Io Shirai. This match will have a direct impact on the next TakeOver. The winner of the match will see their team gain the WarGames advantage at their upcoming match. Shirai is part of team Baszler, while Yim was just announced as the final member of team Ripley. The next TakeOver is set for Illinois and will feature the first femal WarGames match.

RATINGS GAP NARROWS BETWEEN NXT AND AEW

Bryan Alvares has reported the viewing figures for this week’s NXT and AEW: Dynamite. AEW won the week once again, but by less than 10,000 people.

According to Bryan, AEW averaged 822,000 viewers, with NXT slightly behind with 813,000. This is the closest it has been so far. Dave Meltzer posted during the week that AEW was expecting weekly viewing figures around 500,000, so they’ll have been over the moon at the responce they have got.

JANELA VS. SPEARS ADDED TO FULL GEAR

On last night’s AEW Countdown show it was announced that Joey Janela would be facing Shawn Spears at this Saturday’s Full Gear pay per view.

The match is a responce to an incident on this week’s AEW Dark. During the episode Tully Blanchard repremanded Joey Janela for the way Janela treated Tully during their last encounter, Joey put a cigarett into Blanchards drink. Spears then jumped Joey, took his lit cigarett and as the camera panned away we were left with Janela’s screams.

NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS MATCH SET FOR IMPACT

Impact wrestling has announced that five wrestlers will compete in an elimination challenge match. The eventual winner will have earnd the right to call themselves the number one contender for the World Championship.

The five stars in the match are Michael Elgin, Rich Swann, Moose, Tessa Blanchard, and Daga.

The belt is currently held by Sami Calihan, who beat Brian Cage for the belt on the 29th of October episode. Brian and Sami are set to run it again this Saturday at Turning Point.

When the number one contender will fight for the belt is currently unknown.
