AEW INJURY UPDATE
It’s fair to say that last night’s episode of Dynamite didn’t go to plan, with an above-normal number of injuries. Unfortunately for AEW, this Saturday sees their Double or Nothing pay per view. Dave Meltzer provided an update on a number of the stars who seemed to pick up bumps last night.
Matt Jackson: Matt is booked to take part in The Elite vs. The Inner Circle tag match on Saturday, this may well not happen though. Dave claims that he suffered a serious injury to his left side last night. Dave claimed that one half of The Young Bucks may have broken a rib, torn cartilage or badly bruised his side after a dive.
Britt Baker: Britt took part in a tag match last night with Nyla Rose, Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida. During the match, Rose was dumped awkwardly onto Baker’s knee by Statlander and Shida. Baker was obviously in pain and was quickly seen by an AEW medic. Britt is supposed to face Statlander in a singles match at Double or Nothing.
Thankfully, in better news, following Rey Fenix’s dive last night, although he is quite bruised, Meltzer reports that he will be good to compete on Saturday. Rey Fenix is booked into the nine-person Casino ladder match at Double or Nothing.

CIAMPA VS. KROSS BOOKED FOR TAKEOVER: IN YOUR HOUSE
Former NXT Champion, Tommaso Ciampa has been booked to face Karrion Kross at TakeOver: In Your House. This will be Cross’s first TakeOver match.

Ciampa went on to say that Cross stands out even in the NXT locker room, and that was why Tommaso wanted to face him at the next TakeOver event.

WWE BACKSTAGE TO RETURN TO NORMAL TIMESLOT
This week’s episode of Backstage has to be moved due to the return of NASCAR. Next week’s episode was then also announced to have a new time slot. These two changed led some to believe that the move would be permanent. The new time slot is an hour later, and wouldn’t receive the same viewership.
But it seems the moves were just temporary, with Backstage returning to its normal timeslot on June 2. This update comes from the newly released TV Guide for that week.
