NXT’s second show on the USA Network is set to host a number one contender’s match between Matt Riddle and Killian Dain.
The match was set up on this weeks show, Dain and Riddle took part in a street fight during NXT’s second hour. The match was called off after it descended into chaos, with many other stars becoming involved.
It was William Regal who stopped the match, promising the participants that it would resume the following week, with a shot at Adam Cole’s NXT Championship on the line.
SHEAMUS RUMOUMED TO BE ABOUT TO RETURN
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that Sheamus is on the brink of returning to the ring. The Newsletter continues, claiming that he is waiting for creative to write him in at the moment.
Sheamus has been out of action since suffering a concussion after this year’s WrestleMania. He also manages spinal stenosis, a condition that occurs when the spinal cord becomes compressed. While many stars suffer from the condition, they are able to work regardless, taking steps not to aggravate the condition. That being said, the condition has also led to the early retirement of a number of stars.
WWE FAN ARRESTED AT RAW FOR FILMING POLICE OFFICER AND OTHERS URINATING IN THE BATHROOM
At RAW on Monday night, a member of the audience was arrested for filming a police officer and other members of the public urinating in the bathroom. The report comes from WKYT, Knoxville, Tennessee, which was also the location of this week’s episode.
The arrest report states that Tyler Bollinger has been accused of disseminating unlawful photographs and public intoxication.
The website reports that after using a restroom at the Thompson-Boling Arena, a police officer was approached by a father and son who reported that a man was filming people in the bathroom. The pair pointed out Bollinger, when approached Bollinger initially denied the claim and agreed to show the officer the photographs on his phone. Apparently, when showing the officer the photographs, the officer recognised his own uniform in one. Bollinger then closed the phone and told the officer the photograph he had just seen didn’t exist.
Later the man admitted taking the video of the officer and one other man urinating. The officer said the videos had the SnapChat caption across them.
AEW TAKE OUT AD TIME DURING NXT
During last night’s debut episode of NXT on USA, one moment during the broadcast has raised a lot of eyebrows. Not the show its self, that has been generally well-received, but because of a particular advert shown during a break.
It seems that AEW has purchased advertising time to coincide with WWE programming. The adverts are promoting the new television show starting next month, All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite.
It was also reported that AEW did the same during SmackDown.

PAUL ROBINSON ADDS STIPULATIONS TO HIS FIRST PROTEUS CHAMPIONSHIP
— PROGRESS Wrestling (@ThisIs_Progress) September 19, 2019
After becoming the inaugural holder of the Progress Wrestling Proteus Championship, Paul Robinson has laid down the ground rules for his first title defence.
- The title shall never be used as a weapon, even motioning that you’re considering using it in such a way warrants instant disqualification
- No pin falls, matches are either won by submission of knockout.
While there is still no word on who will face Paul, or when his first defence will happen, it seems the company want to keep Paul and the title active in the near future.
MORE SHOTS FIRED ON SOCIAL MEDIA BETWEEN AEW AND WWE STARS
— Christopher Daniels (@facdaniels) September 19, 2019
More AEW stars seem to be following Kenny Omega’s lead and openly criticising/taunting WWE stars. After Kenny’s interview with Dropkick Diskussions, where he referred to stars on NXT as developmental talent, more stars seem to be picking up where he has left off.
SCU’s Christopher Daniels is the latest star to send thinly veiled criticism WWE’s was, tweeting earlier that “Now that you know the name, watch how we play the game!” alongside the AEW: Dynamite graphic.
Hey @KennyOmegamanX remember when my match with @RealKeithLee embarrassed yours on your PWG homecoming weekend of BOLA 2017? Tune in this Wednesday to NXT TV on USA at 8pm so two developmental guys can show a real star how it’s done, again. https://t.co/EhNNG5mCL4

While Dominik Dijakovic took offence to the Kenny Omega interview, tweeting about a situation from the past, as of yet, no one has risen to Christopher Daniels post.
