TERRY FUNK CANCELS APPEARENCES

Terry Funk has announced that he has been forced to cancel his appearences this weekend over health concerns.

The report comes from PWInsider, who say that the 75 year old WWE Hall of Fame is unable to travel. Funk was supposed to be attending ‘The Big Event’ in New York, New York. Funk’s next booked appearence is on April 11 at the ‘Icons of Wrestling Convention & Fanfest’. PWInsider has said this appearence should be considered “iffy at best”.

LANA REPORTEDLY FILMING MOVIE WITH BRUCE WILLIS

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that Lana is currently filming a new moview with Hollywood star Bruce Willis.

The report didn’t reveal the name of the film, btu it is understood that Willis is currently filming “Run of The Hitman” in Atlanta Georgia. Lana’s recent Instagram posts have also come from Atlanta, that and she has commented and tagged herself as an assassin.

PETER ROSENBERG RETURNS TO THE WWE

Announced by the WWE earlier today, Peter Rosenberg has returned to the company.

Rosenberg will work as a Kickoff show analyst, the role begins this Sunday at Elimination Chamber.

Rosenberg has already done similar work for the company, btu was removed last year following personal issues, at the direction of Michael Cole. See WWE’s announcement below:

WWE today announced that popular radio personality Peter Rosenberg will join the company as an analyst for its monthly pay-per-view kickoff shows beginning this Sunday, March 8 at WWE Elimination Chamber. In his new role, Rosenberg will also serve as a special correspondent for various WWE Network shows and upcoming specials.

“To quote Vince McMahon at WrestleMania XII, working with WWE is the boyhood dream come true,” said Rosenberg. “I am beyond thrilled to rejoin the WWE Universe.”

Peter Rosenberg brings his expertise and insight to sports fans daily as a co-host of ESPN New York’s The Michael Kay Show, which he has helped propel to the number one afternoon drive radio show in New York. In addition, he is frequently featured on ESPN’s national broadcasts, most recently providing color commentary at the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game. He also can be heard every weekday morning co-hosting Ebro In The Morning on Hot 97, anchoring one of New York’s most iconic and revered media brands.

BELLA TWINS REMOVED FROM WRESTLEMANIA AXXESS SIGNINGS

The advertised “Premium +” autograph singing session, advertised for the Bella Twins at WrestleMania Axxess has been canceled WWE revealed today.

Tickets were due to go on sale today at 10am, unfortunetly, shortly after 10am WWE released a statement informing fans that the planned event wouldn’t be going ahead. WWE promised to reschedule with another WWE star.

The reason for the cancellation hasn’t been revealed, but both twins are currently pregnant, and in light of the covid-19 outbreak this could well be a sesible safetly precaution.

PROJECTIONS SHOW REVOLUTION WILL OUT SELL FULL GEAR

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that AEW’s Revolution pay per view is set to out sell their Full Gear show by a considrable margin.

While the company waits for the final cable sales figures, the iPPV sales were up over 10% from Full Gear, and inline with Double or Nothing. This puts the iPPV sales alone in the region of 37,000.

The company saw a strong buy rate on Fite.com, Dave Meltzer notes that this is probably down to the UK market. Fite was the only legal way UK based fans could watch the show.

NWA WORLD TITLE ON THE LINE AT SUPERCARD OF HONOR XIV

ROH has confirmed that Nick Aldis will put his NWA Worlds Heavyweight title on the line at Supercard of Honor in less than a month.

The match was set up seemingly when Aldis interfered in PCO’s triple threat match last weekend, striking PCO with the NWA title. PCO lost the match, and hsi ROH title to Rush.

Supercard of Honor is taking place at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Florida on Saturday, April 4. So far the card looks as follows:

  • Marty Scurll vs. Jay White
  • KENTA and Taiji Ishimori vs. Jeff Cobb and Dan Maff
  • Bandido, Flamita and Rey Horus (c) vs. Will Ospreay, Rocky Romero & Amazing Red ROH Six-Man Tag Team title match

NXT UK COMMENTARY CHANGE

At this weekends NXT UK tapings, we have a new commentary duo. Andy Shepherd has joined Nigel McGuinness at the table. The new ring announcer is Francesca Brown.
