MOMENT OF BLISS ANNOUNCED FOR SMACKDOWN

WWE has announced that Evans will be Alexa Bliss’ guest on ‘A Moment of Bliss’ on tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Evans will “address her recent hostilities with Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley”.

The Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan is hosting tonight’s SmackDown. The show will also contain a triple threat number one contender’s match between Daniel Bryan, The Miz, and Baron Corbin with the winner facing ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt for the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble.

THE USO’S SET FOR WWE RETURN?

According to a new report from @Wrestlevotes, former multi-time tag team champions The Usos are expected to return to WWE TV soon.

The WWE creative team was recently instructed to start coming up with ideas for the return of the brothers, with them being slated to remain in the RAW tag team division.

SURVIVOR SERIES 2020 AND ROYAL RUMBLE 2021 LOCATIONS REPORTEDLY REVEALED

According to @WrestleVotes, the two front runners for next years Survivor Series and the 2021 Royal Rumble have been revealed.

The 2020 Survivor Series looks set to take place in Dallas, Texas. The location isn’t confirmed but it’ll be more than likely the American Airlines Center.

The 2021 Royal Rumble looks set to be in T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington. This was the location where WrestleMania 19 was held, and where the set the attendance record for the particular stadium. This is also the home to MLB’s Seattle Mariners.

KRIS STATLANDER AEW WOMEN’S TITLE MATCH POSTPONED

All Elite Wrestling announced on Twitter that Kris Statlander’s title match next Wednesday will not take place, due to ‘prior commitments’ on Statlander’s part.

The apparent prior commitment appears to be a Bar Wrestling show in Los Angeles. She will still receive her title shot but instead will face the winner of a four-way title match between champion Riho, Hikaru Shida, Britt Baker & Nyla Rosa on January 1st, on the January 8th show.

AEW Owner Tony Khan commented on Twitter, saying;

“Rather than force Kris to choose between her title shot or keeping her word on a commitment she made before signing here, we’re allowing her to do both. The champion Riho will defend vs. #2 Britt/#3 Shida/#4 Nyla in a 4 way title match. The winner defends vs. #1 Kris on January 8.”

AEW CONSIDERING ON-AIR COMMISSIONER?

According to @WrestleVotes, AEW is looking into an on-air authority figure in the form of a commissioner figure.

One of the rumoured names for the role is Taz, who recently finished up his job with CBS Sports Radio. He has made several appearances for AEW in the second half of the year.

TAZ TO MAKE APPEARANCE ON AEW DYNAMITE

On that note, Taz is set to make an appearance on the New Years Day episode of AEW Dynamite.

Taz tweeted about the announcement, saying:

“This #AEWDynamite show is loaded…its gonna be SICK! I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in JAX as we kick it’ LIVE on @tntdrama – #ImReady”

Next Wednesday’s Dynamite is being held at Daily’s Place amphitheatre in Jacksonville, Florida.

AEW WIN/LOSS RECORDS TO RESET EVERY YEAR

All Elite Wrestling shed some light on their win-loss records, stating that they will reset at the end of every year.

Therefore, starting with the January 1st episode of AEW Dynamite, all records will be reset with the start of the new year. Career records will remain intact, and the annual records will be important when announcing the weekly AEW rankings.

NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING NO LONGER AIRING ON AXS TV

New Japan Pro Wrestling and AXS TV will go their separate ways starting in 2020. AXS had been airing NJPW for five years.

New Japan announced on Twitter that they have no further plans to broadcast matches, including WrestleKingdom, in the U.S. outside their New Japan World streaming service.

The two sides came together on a deal in late-2014 for 13 episodes of their World Pro Wrestling show that previously aired on TV Asahi with Mauro Ranallo (later Jim Ross) and Josh Barnett doing the English commentary.

AXS has recently acquired IMPACT Wrestling and also air Women of Wrestling.
