TRIPLE H HONORED WITH BODYBUILDING AWARD

Yesterday evening, Triple H was presented with the Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award by Arnold Schwarzenegger himself.

The award took place at the finals of the Arnold Classic, taking place in Columbus, Ohio. The award is given to those judged to have made notable contributions to the fitness industry. Past winners include Lou Ferrigno in 2011 and Sylvester Stallone in 2010.

INJURY UPDATES ON CAGE, RVD AND SWANN

There have been updates regarding the injury status of several Impact stars. Impact has been suffering of late with the number of stars being added to the injury list.

Brian Cage made an appearance last night at an event in Barbados. Cage suffered a torn bicep and underwent surgery in January. Originally he came to the ring and said that he was unable to wrestle, and wasn’t even sure when he’ll be able to return to the ring. He was interrupted and informed that he had to fight. Cage then proceeded to beat up a local star with only his good arm and kicks. The match went at such a pace that at one point the top rope was broken!

Rob Van Dam, unfortunately, missed this weekend’s Impact tapings. Rob currently isn’t cleared to wrestle due to broken ribs. Vam Dam suffered the injury in Qatar taking a Samoan Drop.

PWInsider has reported that Rich Swann won’t be seen in a ring before September. Rich broke his tibia In January at Bash at the Brewery 2.

UPDATE ON SCOTT STEINER

Both Scott Steiner’s wife, Christa, and Tommy Dreamer have both confirmed that Scott Steiner will make a complete recovery following his collapse at last weekend’s Impact tapings.

Christa Rech-Steiner tweeted last night thanks to Impact, Tommy Dreamer, Johnny Swinger, and Joey Ryan for the care they provided for the former WCW Heavyweight Champion. She went on to say that all the thoughts, prayers and well-wishes were appreciated.

Tommy Dreamer also tweeted thanking fans for their well-wishes. He also said that Steiner should make a full recovery. There is still no official word on what happened to Scott. Scott started wrestling in 1988, joining WCW in 1989 and remaining there until 2001 before moving to WWE. Scott has won a huge amount of gold in his career including the WCW Heavyweight title, six-time WCW Tag team champion, three-time Impact Tag champion, and two-time WWF Tag team champion. TWM wishes Big Poppa Pump the very best and a swift recovery.

PRESHOW MATCH ADDED TO TONIGHT’S ELIMINATION CHAMBER

WWE has announced that the Viking Raiders will meet Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder to the Elimination pre-show.

Both teams are on the RAW roster, also on tonight’s show the RAW Tag Team Champions, The Street Profits and defending against Seth Rollins and Murphy. Elimination Chamber will take place at The Well Fargo Center, Philadelphia tonight.

INNER CIRCLE VS. THE ELITE BOOKED FOR MARCH 25

AEW has announced a huge tag match for their Match 25 show. Newark, New Jersey will be treated to the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Adam Page, and Cody Rhodes taking on Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle: Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Santana, and Ortiz. The match will be contested under ‘Blood & Guts’ rules, these will be revealed closer to the time.

PROGRESS ANNOUNCE PROTEUS TITLE MATCH IN FLORIDA

Progress Wrestling has announced that Paul Robinson will be defending his Proteus title against Nick Gage at WRESTLExpo in Tampa Florida on April 2.

Progress will be putting on a full show at WRESTLExpo, with the following stars confirmed:

  • World Champion Cara Noir
  • Proteus Champion Paul Robinson
  • Kyle Fletcher
  • Spike Trivet
  • Warbeast of Fatu and Josef Samael
  • The Anti Fun Police
  • The O.J.M.O.
  • Eddie Kingston

Robinson has now defended the title seven times since winning the inaugural Proteus Rumble in September 2019.

CARA NOIR WINS wXw’S 16 CARAT TOURNAMENT

Earlier this evening Cara Noir won the 2020 16 Carat tournament hosted by wXw. Cara defeated Mike Bailey to claim the trophy.
