    TWM: Wrestler of the Week | Week 6 | 6th – 12th February 2021

    Wrestler of the Week returns for another week of rankings. RAW, Smackdown and NXT are judged this week on YouTube Highlights while we also got to see some amazing matches in IMPACT, AEW, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling with the forbidden door finally being opened.

    Here we take a deep dive into the top fifteen wrestler ‘s of the week.

    Joey Janella – 1 Point

    Joey Janella returned to in ring action on AEW: Dynamite facing the TNT Champion, Darby Allin in a losing effort.

    Darby Allin – 2 Points

    Darby Allin Darby Allin opened AEW: Dynamite this week in a TNT Championship match against the returning Joey Janella, the two of them have a long storied history before coming to AEW and they both delivered.  Allin retained his title.

    PAC – 3 Points

    PAC had a great match this week on AEW: Dynamite being victorious and showing everyone why he should be feared.

    ‘Legit’ Leyla Hirsch – 4 Points

    Legit’ Leyla Hirsch returned to in ring competition this week on AEW: Dynamite for the AEW Women’s Championship No1 Contender tournament.  She lost to Thunder Rosa in the first round but we will hopefully see more of her.

    Thunder Rosa – 5 Points

    Thunder Rosa Thunder Rosa faced off against ‘Legit’ Leyla Hirsh, who returned to in ring competition this week on AEW: Dynamite, for the AEW Women’s Championship No1 Contender tournament.  Thunder Rosa came out of the bout victorious and advancing to the next round.

    Wrestler of the Week

    Master Wato – 6 Points

    Master Wato put on his best match since returning from excursion against BUSHI of Los Ingobernables de Japon.  There match was incredible at night one of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s The New Beginning in Hiroshima but Wato was unable to topple BUSHI.

    BUSHI – 7 Points

    BUSHI in big match situations always over delivers and his match against Master Wato was no exception.  There match was incredible at night one of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s The New Beginning in Hiroshima with BUSHI winning the match over young upstart Master Wato.

    SHO – 8 Points

    SHO finally went one on one with Hiromu Takahashi for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship on night one of The New Beginning in Hiroshima.  All though he didn’t win he did show why he is more than just a tag team wrestler and could be leading the division in a few more years.

    Hiromu Takahashi – 9 Points

    Hiromu Takahashi retained his IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship on night one of The New Beginning in Hiroshima against CHAOS member SHO.  Takahashi yet again showed everyone why he is the leader of the division but that doesn’t mean there aren’t more Junior Heavyweight wrestlers waiting in the wings.

    Jon Moxley – 10 Points

    IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley teamed up with former adversary Lance Archer in a hard hitting match against AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and New Japan Pro-Wrestling star KENTA.

    Kenta&Mox

    KENTA – 11 Points

    KENTA of New Japan Pro-Wrestling teamed up with former Bullet Club member and AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in a hard hitting match against IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley and former Suzuki-gun member Lance Archer.

    Lance Archer – 12 Points

    Lance Archer teamed up with former adversary IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley in a hard hitting match against AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and New Japan Pro-Wrestling star KENTA.

    Kenny Omega – 13 Points

    AEW World Champion Kenny Omega teamed up with current Bullet Club member KENTA of New Japan Pro-Wrestling in a hard hitting match against IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley and former Suzuki-gun member Lance Archer.

    SANADA – 14 Points

    SANADA finally faced off against IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion Kota Ibushi in the main event of night 2 of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s The New Beginning in Hiroshima.  Yes again SANADA failed to beat Ibushi but we should keep our eyes fixed on the Cold Skull during the coming year.

    Kota Ibushi – 15 Points

    Kota Ibushi is our wrestler of the week thanks to his outstanding main event match on night 2 of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s The New Beginning in Hiroshima.  He faced off against SANADA and retained his against IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships.  Ibushi wants to unify the title while Tetsuya Naito doesn’t want that and will challenge for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship with the aim to continue the legacy of Shinsuke Nakamura.
