VIP LOUNGE SEGMENT ANNOUNCED FOR RAW
— WWE (@WWE) June 7, 2020
Late yesterday WWE announced that MVP and Bobby Lashley would be hosting a VIP lounge segment on tonight’s episode of RAW.
The VIP lounge is expected to be the last stop before Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre meet at Backlash. The rivalry has been going for a few weeks now. Last week, Drew defeated MVP, before Bobby jumped Drew, putting him in a full nelson as the show went off the air. MVP and Lashley promise to air footage taken directly after tonight.
On Sunday Drew puts his WWE Championship on the line as he takes on Bobby Lashley at WWE Backlash.

EDGE AND ORTON TO BE ONLY TAPED MATCH AT BACKLASH
— WWE (@WWE) May 19, 2020
In an update to previous reports, apparently Edge and Orton will be the only taped match on Sunday’s Backlash.
WrestlingInc reports that although Edge vs. Orton was recorded on Sunday, nothing else was. Come Sunday night WWE plans to run a live event, the only reason Edge and Orton has been taped is for editing.
On Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer confirmed that the headline match for this Sunday’s Backlash was already taped. WWE has billed the match as ‘the greatest wrestling match ever’, and according to Dave’s source it’s “really, really good”.
Both stars are more than established names in the WWE, but there has been talk of the added pressure when a match is referred to as the greatest of all time. Dave’s source said that the match was “two very smart workers working very hard to have the smartest match they possibly could under the circumstances.”.
This will be the second time the pair have met at a pay per view this year, with Edge’s return match being against Randy Orton in a last man standing match at WrestleMania. This is also Edge’s only match since returning, not including the Royal Rumble.
WWE REPORTEDLY LOOKING TO REDESIGN SOME TITLE BELTS
Looks like a few new versions of WWE belts are coming. One is a new design, one is a slight modification to an existing design. I was told the replicas are already in production so as soon as they debut, they will be available for order on WWEShop.

According to WrestlingInc, WWE is looking to have a number of their title belts redesigned.
This isn’t the first time that there have been rumours regarding WWE looking to modify their title belts, @BeltFanDan tweeted in May that WWE was thinking of a change of look.
WrestlingInc has reported that the NXT and U.S. title belts will both be getting a redesign. Apparently the U.S. title belt will be getting the greater makeover, with the NXT belt keeping the same basic look.
TRIPLE H’S OPEN DOOR POLICY REGARDING BLM
Apparently Triple H has made it abundantly clear that if staff wants to have a conversation regarding equality in light of the Black Lives Matter movement, his door is open.
While somebody out here snitchin to these dirt sheets about everything, somebody need to snitch that @TripleH came & told us all that if we today, tomorrow or ever want to talk to him about our feelings on #BlackLivesMatter he wants to have that convo.#NXTTakeOver #InYourHouse

And HE DONT HAVE TO DO THAT and he still made sure we knew that we could… that’s an ally. pic.twitter.com/AkQWh9vScv

AJ Francis, a recent recruit to the Performance Center tweeted that while WWE had been getting bad press, no one had reported some positive news. Apparently Triple H spoke to Performance Center recruits and told the recruits that if they wanted to talk to him about their feeling regarding BLM he’d be happy to have that chat.
In a subsequent tweet, AJ called Triple H an ally of the Black Lives Matter movement. He said that Hunter didn’t have to offer to listen, but made sure everyone knew he would.
BECKY LYNCH CHANGES HAIR COLOUR
Becky Lynch’s iconic orange hair is no more. Posting a picture on Instagram the Irish lass kicker seems to have reverted to a more natural brunette.
The picture in question was from a George Floyd tribute video Becky and Seth Rollins made.
CHARLOTTE FLAIR REPORTEDLY DONE WITH NXT
With last night’s NXT TakeOver: In Your House now in the books, it seems Charlotte will be heading back to either RAW or SmackDown.
Last night saw Charlotte drop the NXT Women’s title to Io Shirai in a crazy triple threat match. The Queen defended against both Shirai and Rhea Ripply, with the match ending when Shirai pinned Ripply.
Many assumed that Charlotte would now be going after Io to regain her title but apparently no. According to WrestlingInc, Flair is leaving NXT.
Triple H hinted at the same in the post-event media call, saying:
Charlotte’s always been a RAW talent, that’s where she signed and is her home. She’s been working all three brands lately, which has been awesome, but we’ll see. I’m not 100% sure of that, but I think in this moment that obviously just happened, I think we will see where that goes.
Triple H went on to talk cryptically about the finish of last night’s match:
This was done for a very specific reason, for storytelling purposes. Hopefully, if we get to tell the story the way we want to over the coming months, three or four months from now, you’ll go, ‘I know exactly why they did the finish they did.’
