DASHA FUENTES DISCUSSES WWE RELEASE
As reported recently, Dasha Fuentes was recently released by WWE from her role as ring announcer and backstage interviewer. Dasha herself broke the silence regarding the issue and tackled it in an Instagram post. In the caption she writes:
I can’t thank you all of enough for the past 5 years it has truly been an honor and privilege to have been able to work for @wwe!!! To all of my fans throughout the years and coworkers who have reached out to me it truly means a lot!!! Although my journey with WWE has come to an end it’s just the beginning!!! I most definitely am not saying goodbye, but rather I’ll see y’all around!!!!
In the video Dasha says:
“What’s going on everyone, Dasha here. Just wanted to address some of the rumors that I’ve been getting and questions that have been asked to me. Yes, unfortunately, those rumors are true, I am no longer with WWE, but I just wanted to take a moment to thank WWE. It’s been an incredible 5 years, I’ve learned so much. A lot of people don’t know, I actually started in WWE as a wrestler, then got the opportunity to host, and announce, and work my way up, and got to interview backstage as well. So, I’ve gotten to wear many, many hats within WWE. So, thank you to all the agents, producers, coaches, everyone that’s helped me out along the way, and also wanted to thank each and every superstar, person that worked there, that pretty much reached out, made sure I’m doing ok, and I’m doing ok! So, I just wanted to let you guys know that. And thank you to all my fans throughout the years. So, guys I’m not going anywhere. Get ready to follow my journey!”

CM PUNK COLT CABANA LAWSUIT UPDATE
There was a little news coming out of the courtroom currently hearing the breach of contract suit between CM Punk (the accused) and Colt Cabana. The case revolves around the promise that CM Punk would cover Colt’s legal fees. While Punk doesn’t deny that he promised that he would pay, he is refusing to as a contract was never drawn up or signed between the two.
Earlier today the Judge in the case ruled that a text message sent by Punk (saying Colt would be “100% covered”) lacked the definiteness and certainty to be regarded as an enforceable contract. Although this was considered a win for Punk, the Judge also made clear that an e-mail sent by Punk’s lawyer did constitute a contract. The important section of the e-mail reads:
“Despite your unwillingness to contribute to your legal fees, I am still prepared to represent you, and [Punk] is prepared to have me represent you and cover your legal fees going forward, as long as there is no conflict between you and [Punk] that prevents me from fairly and ethically representing you. At this time, I don’t believe that any such conflict exists…”
A case management conference is due to take place on the 21st of May, with this being the last chance for the issue to be settled outside of court.
