KEITH LEE RETURNS TO ACTION

Keith Lee made his return to in-ring competition at an NXT house show last night. Lee has been absent since mid-March with an undisclosed injury. Lee made his return in a 6-man tag match. Teaming with Kushida and Babatunde to defeat Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish, and Roderick Strong. 

NJPW ADDS SHOW TO AUSTRALIAN TOUR

New Japan has announced that a second stop has been added to their upcoming tour of Australia. Posting to their website, the Japanese promotion stated:

Last week, New Japan Pro Wrestling announced its long-awaited return to Australia, with the major event NJPW SOUTHERN SHOWDOWN in MELBOURNE taking place in Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Saturday 29th June. In response to overwhelming demand from our passionate Australian fans, we are delighted to announce that an additional event has been added to the weekend. Sunday 30th June will see NJPW hit the University of New South Wales Roundhouse in Sydney. This smaller, more intimate event will be exciting coda to the events in Melbourne the previous day. Tickets will go on sale on Friday 26th April at 12.00 pm, noon, AET (11.00 am JST).

Following the success of the G1 Supercard held earlier this month, this latest announcement seems to just provide further proof of NJPW’s current expansion into new and untapped territories. 

CENA TO HOST ELLEN

WWE announced today that John Cena will guest host the Ellen DeGeneres show later today. The news was broken by Ellen herself, posting about the change to the regular format to the show on her Instagram account:

WWE STAR’S EVOLVE MATCHES ANNOUNCED

It was recently announced that Kassius Ohno and Adam Cole would be returning to Evolve for one-off matches. 

Evolve 127 – Adam Cole will take on Austin Theory in a non-title match. Kassius Ohno will team with Harlem Bravado to take on AR Fox and Leon Ruff with Ayla and The Skulk.

Evolve 128 – Adam Cole vs. AR Fox and Kassius Ohno vs. Josh Briggs
