NXT UK STAR SUFFERS EPISODE OF BELL’S PALSY

Earlier today NXT UK star Piper Niven revealed that she had recently suffered a bout of Bell’s palsy.

The star revealed the condition on social media, tweeting “who’s got two thumbs, a funny face and has Bell’s palsy?”.

Bell’s palsy is a form of facial paralysis that affects the ability to control the muscles on one or  both sides of the face. The cause of the condition is unknown, though there are several factors that are thought to increase the chance of devloping it.

This isn’t the first time WWE has had an on screen employee affected by Bell’s palsy. Jim Ross had his first attack in 1994, and actually suffered an attack in 1998, while working WWE’s Capital Carnage in London England.

NXT TO HAVE WRESTLEMANIA PRESENCE

According to Twitter account @WrestleVotes NXT will have more of a role this coming WrestleMania weekend than just the TakeOver show on the Saturday.

The account has stated that their ‘well placed source’ has told them that there will be an NXT presence on the WrestleMania card. At the moment there is no word on what form this presence will take, but it is the natural progression, now that NXT is seen far more as a third brand.

SETH ROLLINS VS. KO UNLIKELY FOR SUNDAY’S TLC

After Dave Meltzer’s report on Wrestling Observer Radio that Kevin Owens, it now appears that chances of the match happening on Sunday have gone drastically down.

It seems that Seth’s injury to his finger has caused the company to put the breaks on the match, in the short term at least. Dave Meltzer expressed in this week’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that even though Rollins is expecting to be cleared before Sunday’s show, with Owens being bundled off in a ambulance WWE will most likely save the match for another time.

NXT INJURY UPDATE

The following injuries were announced on this week’s edition of the NXT Injury Report with Matt Camp.

  • Dakota Kai required 8 staples following a suplex through a table from Mia Yim. Kai has said that she’ll go against the doctor’s advice of rest and attend this weekend’s NXT Live events.
  • Fandango has suffered a possibly dislocated elbow as Breezango defeated The Singh Brothers
  • NXT UK star Travis Banks suffered a nasty cut to his eyebrow in his debut match. At the moment the company is taking his situation day by day.

WWE PLANS TO INCLUDE NXT STARS IN THE ROYAL RUMBLE

Bryan Alvarez has spoken about WWE’s plans for next year’s Royal Rumble pay per view, commenting on the company’s plans for NXT now that it more of a third brand.

Bryan made his comment’s on this week’s edition of Wrestling Observer Live, saying that currently the plan is for both the men and women’s rumble matches to feature ten stars from RAW, ten from SmackDown, and ten from NXT.

This would be a large increase over the umber seen earlier this year. In 2019 WWE had three NXT stars in the men’s match, and only six on the women’s. It is thought that WWE would be using their entire NXT and NXT UK rosters to help fill the spots.

WOS TEASES SOCIAL MEDIA

World Of Sport made it’s return to British screens in 2018 following an over 30 year absence.

Following the conclusion of the ten part series of ITV, the promotion held six different live events before going on hiatus. Dave Meltzer reported earlier this year that WOS had unfortunetly been canceled following ITV’s deal to air AEW.

The WOS social media team seem to have other ideas however, tweeting a 5 second clip of impages from WOS spliced with static.
