NEW RECRUITS TO THE WWE UK PERFORMANCE CENTER

It was officially announced today that Ilja Dragunov, Kay Lee Ray, Jazzy Gabert, “Primate” Jay Melrose, and Oliver Carter have signed with WWE for NXT UK, joining the company’s UK Performance Center in North London.

Dragunov made his NXT UK debut in a dark match at last weekend’s television tapings in Coventry, England. Kay Lee Ray and Gabert were introduced to NXT UK when they were shown in the front row at UK TakeOver: Blackpool last month. Both wrestlers were in WWE’s first Mae Young Classic in 2017.

Gabert was set to sign with WWE after her appearance in the Mae Young Classic, but a neck injury stopped her from being able to sign then.

WWN ANNOUNCE RECRUITMENT CAMP

WWN Live, the parent company to EVOLVE, has announced the first-ever WWN Recruitment Camp that offers a WWE tryout opportunity.

The camp will be held at the WWE Performance Center in mid-April.

In the statement, WWN say;

Standout participants will receive an invitation to the WWE Performance Center (PC) for a 3-day WWE tryout! You can be included in one of the semi-annual WWE tryouts, which have seen numerous athletes awarded WWE contracts.

Standout participants will also be awarded an opportunity to sign WWN contracts, which leads to full time bookings in EVOLVE.

Several participants will be selected to be booked on upcoming WWN Family events, including EVOLVE, SHINE, FIP, Style Battle, ACW and other brands.

Several WWE NXT Coaches and Superstars will participate – Terry Taylor, Norman Smiley, Serena Deeb, Oney Lorcan, Drake Wuertz and Gabe Sapolsky.

TITLE MATCH MADE FOR WWE FASTLANE

It was revealed that Mandy Rose will be challenging Asuka for the WWE SmackDown Live Women’s Championship at WWE Fastlane.  was announced during a post-SmackDown video that was uploaded by WWE. Rose and Sonya Deville were interviewed by Kayla Braxton, with Rose saying that she’ll become champion at the pay-per-view.

Rose was set up as the next challenger for the SmackDown Women’s Championship when she pinned Asuka in a non-title match last week.

AEW SIGN BEA PREISTLEY

Bea Priestley is set to join AEW at the promotion’s Fight for the Fallen show in Jacksonville, Florida. Episode five of the Road to Double or Nothing revealed that Fight for the Fallen will take place in July and that the STARDOM, WOS Wrestling and PROGRESS Wrestling standout will be joining the roster.

AEW also announced a partnership with KultureCity that will begin with making Double or Nothing the “first sensory-inclusive wrestling event in history.” KultureCity will provide training to staff at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and packets will be supplied with items to help those who struggle to process sensory information at large events.

CODY TO APPEAR AT AAA SHOW

It has been announced that Cody Rhodes will appear at AAA’s Rey de Reyes in Puebla, Mexico on Saturday, March 16. The news was announced via a video from Cody.

Cody also noted that AAA wrestlers will be part of Double or Nothing in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, May 25.

AAA is the second promotion that AEW has announced a partnership with,  alongside China’s Oriental Wrestling Entertainment
