REY FENIX INJURED

Appearing at an AAW show in Texas last night, Rey Fenix suffered an unfortunate injury. Competing with Pentagon Jr. against Myron Reed and AR Fox, Fenix suffered the injury attempting a springboard cutter from which he landed awkwardly. After the move, Fenix immediately grabbed his head and the match was abruptly finished with Penta picking up the win.

Although originally reported as a stinger, AAW has since posted an update correcting speculation. According to the promotion, Fenix suffered a muscle contusion. While this is unpleasant, it should heal completely with no long term implications.

JIMMY HAVOC UNWELL

Jimmy Havoc has tweeted complaining that he is suffering from blood poisoning. He says that he has been suffering with it for a few days and doesn’t expect to be feeling much better for a while to come. When trying to pinpoint where he might have picked up the infection Jimmy shared a .gif of himself chewing a fluorescent light tube at a deathmatch event.

SETH ROLLINS STILL NOT CLEARED

Seth Rollins is still not cleared to compete and has been pulled from the advertising for all live events in February. Seth is currently absent from competition due to a back injury. According to John Pollock of Post Wrestling, Seth is due for a medical evaluation at this Monday’s RAW. With the possibility of Seth being cleared this Monday and WWE removing from live events for the remainder of the month, it’s fair to say that WWE is trying to protect one of their biggest assets.

WWE ADVERTISE INTERGENDER MATCH

It looks like the WWE are pushing further ahead with the idea of intergender wrestling. After having Nia Jax enter the men’s Royal Rumble last month they are now advertising a full intergender match. Once again Nia Jax in involved, with her opponent being named as Dean Ambrose. Appearing on local advertising, the contest is billed as a special attraction match, set to take place at a live event on the 22 February in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
