WILL OSPREAY MISSES NIGHT FOUR OF THE G1 CLIMAX DUE TO INJURY
Will Ospreay is one of the hottest wrestlers in the world at the moment. He has turned in a fantastic body of work so far in 2019. Unfortunately, old demons seem to be rearing their head as Ospreay was forced on to the injury bench this morning. Late last night NJPW announced that Will would be missing this morning’s event due to a neck injury. The specifics of the injury have not been made public, but NJPW has said that the issue isn’t skeletal of involving nerve issues. Will commented on social media shortly after the announcement, commenting that he was in a great deal of pain, but receiving the best treatment.
Ospreay was due to team with Yota Tsuji and Yuya Uemura to take on Kota Ibushi, Shota Umino, and Jushin Thunder Liger. The match was subsequently changed to Kota Ibushi and Jushin Thunder Liger vs. Shota Umino and Yota Tsuji.

CM PUNK TAKES SHOT AT SHANE MCMAHON
During last night’s Extreme Rules, CM Punk took a well-aimed, now deleted, shot at Shane McMahon. After McMahon and Drew McIntyre lost their match to The Undertaker and Roman Reigns, Dave Sholler Tweeted a picture of Shane laying in the ring with The Undertaker and Roman standing tall over him. Punk replied to the message asking if it was a fan in the ring.
“Is that a fan that jumped in the ring?”
Although the tweet was hastily deleted, some assume that Punk is a little annoyed with Shane using the “Best in the World” tag line. Punk famously used the same line after delivering his infamous pipe bomb promo in 2011. Shane has been using the tag since he won the Wrestling World Cup, at Crown Jewel in November 2018.

WWE has just announced that later on RAW a fatal four-way match will be held to determine Becky’s SummerSlam opponent. With Brock Lesnar reinstalled as Universal Champion, WWE has opted for a cross-brand Battle Royal to decide who will face him next month.
