HUGE MATCH ANNOUNCED FOR TAKEOVER: XXV

It has been announced that a Tag Team Championship ladder match will take place at NXT TakeOver XXV. The tag team titles have been vacant since the Viking Raiders were drafted to RAW in this year’s Superstar Shake-up.

The four teams set to compete are The Street Profits, Undisputed ERA, The Forgotten Sons and Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan. WWE had the following to say on their website:

“Putting these four duos in one match with the NXT Tag Team Titles on the line would be a recipe for carnage under any circumstance. Yet, the addition of steel ladders raises the danger level significantly. Not only can Superstars use the ladders as a means of reaching the titles, but the ladders will also be perfectly legal to use as weapons. That’s a scary predicament considering who’s involved and what’s at stake.

HANGMAN PAGE OUT OF DOUBLE OR NOTHING

In the latest episode of ‘Being the Elite’, it was announced the Adam ‘Hangman’ Page wouldn’t be competing at this Saturday’s Double or Nothing pay per view. The reason for Page’s absence was put down to injury, he was shown with a bandaged knee. At the end of PAC and Page’s impromptu match at Wrestle Gate Pro, PAC focused his illegal attack on the Hangman’s leg. During the video Adam said the following:

“Hey guy, I’m checking in, because apparently it is my responsibility to tell you that due to recent events I will not be allowed to compete at Double or Nothing. I am sure that none of you are as disappointed or pissed off about the situation as I am. But I will still be at Starrcast on Friday, doing a meet & greet. And I’m sure that the entire show in itself will be great.”

At this time it isn’t known if the injury is a work, and what capacity Page will be involved with Saturday’s debut event.
