WWE FS1 Hosts Announced, Big Commentary Changes & New Years Dash Changes Venue | Wrestling News Update, Thursday 26th September 2019

RENEE YOUNG AND BOOKER T TO HOST FS1 SHOW

WWE has confirmed Renee Young and Booker T will be the hosts of their studio show on FS1.

The show, which is called WWE Backstage. It will air on FS1 at 11 p.m. Eastern time/8 p.m. Pacific on Tuesdays every week starting on November 5th.

In addition, there will also be a preview show after game three of Major League Baseball’s American League Championship Series on Tuesday, October 15th.

In a press release; WWE said the show;

“weigh in on the biggest stories in WWE, and are joined by a rotating cast of guests and personalities, including current and former WWE Superstars.”

NEXT WEEK’S NXT WILL HAVE ‘LIMITED COMMERCIAL INTERRUPTION’

Next week’s episode of NXT on USA Network will have “limited commercial interruption.”

The announcement was made during the USA Network hour of this week’s NXT.

Next Wednesday will be the first time that NXT has aired live on USA for the full two hours.

The last two shows were split across USA Network and WWE Network due to the final two episodes of “Suits” .

IMPACT WRESTLING LOSE PRODUCTION STAFF TO AEW

SEScoops has reported that AEW has ‘raided’ IMPACT’s production team.

IMPACT had been outsourcing the majority of its production work to Kevin Sullivan’s KSTV. This week it was rumoured that Sullivan had left the company, so his production company has obviously followed.

The company made a deal with AEW that will see them working directly with AEW lead producer Keith Mitchell.

This comes after KSTV had tried to make a deal with Anthem that would bring them stability but that never came to, which left the door open for AEW to swoop in.

AEW SIGN DEAL WITH DC COMICS

All Elite Wrestling has officially launched a new partnership with DC Comics.

Revealed on their Instagram, the two companies commemorated the deal with a picture of reigning AEW World Champion Chris Jericho drawn by The Flash and Justice League artist Howard Porter.

AEW already has a working relationship with DC’s parent company, WarnerMedia.

More details will reportedly be on the way later this week.

NJPW NEW YEARS DASH MOVES TO OTA-KU

Follow New Japan’s decision to make next years WrestleKingdom a two night event, they have now announced that their annual New Years Dash event will also be changing.

Usually held in Korakuen Hall, the now January 6th event will now be held in the larget Ota City Gymnasium in Tokyo, following the two nights in the Tokyo Dome.

Ticket information has not been announced.
