WWE: Anonymous Wrestler’s Royal Rumble Reaction – A Low Blow to WWE Fans (2014)

We don’t normally report on anything other than confirmed reports on this website but I came across something so ridiculous I just had to share it with you all. This was a report from F4WOnline and is apparently from a WWE superstar who wishes to remain anonymous:

“Internet is so funny. You all read the sites so you all should know the ‘plans’ for Mania. None of those plans have Bryan in a title match so the Internet exploding at the end of the show is beyond laughable. Plus don’t hate on Rey, he didn’t book himself as #30. The way most of you were acting the company should have called an audible and put Brooklyn Brawler as #30 just to piss you off even more. over 50,000 mania tickets sold and a network that will change your life for ever is about to launch, so just relax and enjoy the product the company gives you. By the way, didn’t you all s–t on the WWE for the Sept – Nov PPVs last year and said you were done, but turned around to watch/buy the Rumble? Pittsburgh you were an awesome crowd and it was an honor to be in your building last night”

– Anonymous WWE Superstar

Wow, where do I begin? Lets go one by one and pick out each ridiculous statement and explain why it sounds completely condescending to most WWE fans…you know, the people who attend shows, watch the weekly broadcasts, buy the PPV’s and possibly that new network that will change our lives.

“Internet is so funny. You all read the sites so you all should know the ‘plans’ for Mania. None of those plans have Bryan in a title match so the Internet exploding at the end of the show is beyond laughable”

So because some fans read the news sites and have an idea of what WWE is going to do they shouldn’t complain about it when it happens? That is your opening argument? This is going to be good. WWE fans complained about Batista winning because it was pretty much painted on from the moment he walked back into WWE. The crowds have also been solidly behind Bryan on every show for a substantial part of 2013 and all of 2014 – Stupid fans, right?

“Plus don’t hate on Rey, he didn’t book himself as #30. The way most of you were acting the company should have called an audible and put Brooklyn Brawler as #30 just to piss you off even more”

The WWE was completely aware of the reaction that Rey was going to get and was completely fine with it. Why not send someone like Bad News Barrett out at 30 and allow him to get some huge heat to further develop his character. I agree that Mysterio didn’t book himself in at #30, but WWE did.

“Over 50,000 mania tickets sold and a network that will change your life forever is about to launch, so just relax and enjoy the product the company gives you”

This is the most solid section of your argument. WWE has indeed sold 50’000 tickets to WrestleMania, but it will be interesting to see how many of them jeer Batista and cheer Daniel Bryan. Stupid fans spoiling WWE plans again. You want fans to “Just relax and enjoy the product the company gives us”. No company, not even WWE is too big for fans to make them change their plans through disapproval and you should never forget that.

“By the way, didn’t you all s–t on the WWE for the Sept – Nov PPVs last year and said you were done, but turned around to watch/buy the Rumble? Pittsburgh you were an awesome crowd and it was an honor to be in your building last night”

So you’re having a go because fans didn’t like something but still stuck around long enough to complain when it doesn’t change a few months later? Will you say the same next year if them same fans do actually give up on the product and start watching the UFC instead? I think not.

All in all, I’m pretty disgusted by this anonymous report from an apparent WWE star. It has been a terrible week for WWE with Punk apparently leaving, the fans reaction to Batista winning and Daniel Bryan not even being included in the Royal Rumble. There may be no such thing as bad publicity, but I think WWE is getting pretty close.
