WWE ISSUES STATEMENT CONGRATULATING AEW ON THEIR PREMIERE

Following the start of the “Wednesday Night War,” WWE issued a statement today offers congratulations AEW on the premiere of Dynamite on TNT.

“Congratulations to AEW on a successful premiere. The real winners of last night’s head-to-head telecasts of NXT on USA Network and AEW on TNT are the fans, who can expect Wednesday nights to be a competitive and wild ride as this is a marathon, not a one-night sprint.”

AEW Dynamite premiered on TNT last night, while NXT aired on USA Network for its full two hours for the first time.

TOMASSO CIAMPA DOCUMENTARY TO AIR ON WWE NETWORK

A documentary on Tommaso Ciampa is set to air on the WWE Network next week.

The documentary, titled “Tommaso Ciampa: blackHEART.” will debut on the WWE Network next Wednesday at 10PM ET/3PM BST.

WWE SMACKDOWN ON HULU UPDATE

Earlier this week, Hulu had removed past episodes of SmackDown from the service, and it appeared that users would need to subscribe to Hulu Live to watch the show, which starts at $44.99 per month.

Hulu has moved to ease viewers fears that the streaming service will no longer be featuring WWE SmackDown, confirming today that the show will be back on the service starting this week.

“Past episodes of WWE Smackdown expired from Hulu on 9/25. We will continue to have new episodes of WWE Smackdown starting with this week’s episode! Please let us know if you have any other questions.”

AAA RESCHEDULES LOS ANGELES SHOW

Lucha Libre AAA is rescheduling their Invading LA show.

The Forum in Inglewood, California sent out an email announcing that the show has been rescheduled from it’s original October 13th date.

A new date for the event hasn’t been announced.

TNT PRO WRESTLING ANNOUNCES THEY HAVE UNIONIZED

Following his TNT Heavyweight Championship win over Mark Haskins at tonight’s ‘Cold Day In Hell’ event, David Starr announced that TNT is the first promotion in the United Kingdom to unionize.

Starr is a co-founder of ‘We The Independent’, a movement to ensure employment rights for professional wrestlers and to form a wrestlers union.
