FALLOUT FROM CROWN JEWEL

Following Thursday’s Crown Jewel event, there has been a fair amount of fallout from the travel chaos after the event. Although Crown Jewel has generally been recieved as one of the better shows to come from Saudi Arabia, the problems seem to have started long before the final bell.

Former WWE Spanish announcer, Hugo Savinovich posted a video to Facebook, in the video the claims that WWE is owed between $300 and $500 million for two previous shows.

This is a huge sum considering it is widely accpeted that WWE actually make $40 to $50 million per Saudi show.

Dave Meltzer also spoke of the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio. Dave backed up the story the the Saudi Arabian authorities owed WWE for the Super ShowDown event on the 7th of June. Meltzer also claimed that Crown Jewel went out on a delay in Saudi Arabia as Vince refused to allow it to broardcast live before an agreement could be reached.

Meltzer also commented that most of the stars speakign to him didn’t believe the mechanical issues story. Apparently a second flight that could have taken them home was also mysteriously delayed. A number expressed that they wouldn’t work another show in the contry. Some went even further, saying they “can’t wait to get out of the company”. The stars apparently felt deserted by Vince.

ROPPONGI 3K WIN SUPER JUNIOR TAG LEAGUE AGAIN

For the fourth year in a row, Roppongi 3K have walked away with the trophies (almost) for the forth year in a row.

The final was contested between SHO and YOH of Roppongi 3K and the Suzuki-gun team of El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. This was following three different teams beign tied on ten points following the tournament, ELP and Ishimori were eliminated as they had lost against both Roppongi 3K and Suzuki-gun.

SHO picked up the win, pinning El Desperado after the 3K. After the match El Phantasmo and Taiji Ishimori jumped SHO and YOH, knocking them out with their IWGP Junior Tag title belts. Phantasmo and Ishimori then stole SHO and YOH just won trophies before leaving.

KELLY KLEIN AND BJ WHITMER CLAIM ROH HAS NO CONCUSSION POLICY

Following from Joey Mercury’s series of tweets, Kelly Klein and BJ Whitmer have chimed in, also claiming the company has no policy regarding the treatment of stars suffering from concussion.

Earlier this week Klien spoke to GERWECK.net, in the interview she spoke about asking Greg Gilleland about the protocol, he is apparently yet to get back to her.

ROH still has no concussion protocol. Interestingly, I asked the GM (Greg Gilleland) if we had one not too long ago. He didn’t answer me.

BJ Whitmer, Klein’s husband retweeted the article with the comment:

Ask the company to see this protocol. I bet they can’t produce it, because it doesn’t exist. Maybe@ChrisNowinski1 can help with this and ask@ringofhonor and GM Greg Gilleland to produce this concussion protocol they claim to have…
With the issues around head trauma being red hot at the moment, ROH can little afford the continuing bad press.
