WWE: Edge victorious in Toronto for the 1st time since 2010 on Raw

Its been since 2010 when The Rated R Superstar last competed in Toronto, Canada. The last time Edge wrestled in Toronto was against another Canadian fan favourite, Christian. Can we talk about how spoiled the fans were tonight? what a wrestling show overall, but the roof blew off when Edge made his entrance for the main event against Damian Priest.

Edge created The Judgment Day, but his tenure in the group was short-lived, as he would be replaced within weeks. It did not look like the faction would last very long as Vince McMahon was still calling the shots and the trio seemed like it had no direction at times. Ever since The Judgement day recruited Finn Balor and turned on Edge the stable has gone on to have huge success without the veteran leading the group. The match would turn out to be very physical as expected and Edge took a nasty table bump midway through the match.

The main event turned out to be a treat for all wrestling fans. Priest hit Edge with an unprettier that nearly got him the win. With his heel tactics in full force, Beth Phoenix watched from afar while Priest set up Edge for a con-chair-to, a move that the Edge made famous throughout his career. Priest missed as the crowd cheered on Edge towards the finish. In a wild exciting finish, Edge shockingly hit Priest with a Canadian destroyer and followed up with his infamous spear to get the big win.

Rhea Ripley came out after the win to deliver a devasting low blow to Edge as Finn Balor also appeared and the three-on-one beatdown began. Beth Phoenix quickly entered with a chair as The Judgment Day exited the ring setting up a possible match in the future with Phoenix teaming up with Edge. What a legendary return and performance from Edge, but Raw turned out to be another strong showing as the Triple H era is in full effect.
