WWE Monday Night Raw Results – 2nd September 2019

Paige Brearley runs down the results from last night’s Monday Night Raw.

King of the Ring continues on, while the rest of the RAW Roster focuses on Clash of Champions.

  • We open with the contract signing between Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman. Seth says his intention in to walk into Clash of Champions as double champ, burn it down and walk out as double champ. Braun is just excited to see how awkward it will be for Seth to see his tag team partner with his Universal Title.
  • The OC interrupts the signing, with AJ Styles stating that history will definitely be made at Clash of Champions. He also questions why Braun just seems to be handed this opportunity, says by proxy the US Champion should get the title shot. AJ tells Gallows and Anderson not to look at the US Title because apparently all you have to do is look at a title and you get a shot at it. A brawl then breaks out and the contract is never signed.
  • Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman defeated The O.C via disqualification.
  • AJ Styles attacks after the bell and eventually Ziggler and Roode show up to help lay waste to the Tag Team Champions.
  • Cedric Alexander is interviewed by Charly Caruso about his King of the Ring match, but the OC come to attack him.
  • Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode defeat Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder via pinfall.
  • Lacey Evans defeats Natalya via pinfall.
  • Becky Lynch comes out to respond to Sasha Banks. Becky says Sasha’s excuse for leaving after Mania is crap. Becky goes on to say that while Sasha and Charlotte were being paraded around, Becky was the afterthought. With all Sasha’s talent, she should be in Becky’s position. Sasha then comes out and says she agrees with Becky, Sasha should have been the one to main event Wrestlemania and have what Becky does. But she also says Becky is only in the position she is because Nia Jax broke her face.
  • Banks vs Lynch is made official for Clash of Champions
  • The verbal sparring between Sasha and Becky leaves the Street Profits stunned as they just send us to commercial.
  • King Of The Ring Quarter Final: Baron Corbin defeats Cedric Alexander via pinfall.
  • Charly tries to get some sort of reaction from Bayley about Sasha, but Bayley doesn’t want to answer, instead, Bayley mentions that Becky won’t outshine her in their tag match later in the night.
  • Viking Raiders defeated Brian Thomas and Tyler Hastings via pinfall.
  •  Samoa Joe versus Ricochet ends in a draw via double pin.
  • Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman are shown backstage. Braun is not happy that Stone Cold Steve Austin is announced as the moderator for the contract signing next week. Seth can’t believe that’s what Braun is angry about when they just got jumped by five guys a little bit ago. Braun makes it clear that if Stone Cold gets in his way next week he will “get these hands.”
  • Firefly Funhouse returns with Bray apologizing to Finn Balor on behalf of the Fiend. He also winds up feeding the puppet that looks like Vince McMahon money as he lays out a challenge to whoever walks out of Clash of Champions as Universal Champion. He makes a declaration to see them in hell.
  • The controversial ending of Samoa Joe vs Ricochet, leaves WWE management deciding neither lost and next week it will be a triple threat match: Baron Corbin vs Ricochet vs Samoa Joe
  • Rey Mysterio has an interview backstage to discuss what has been going on lately. Says he isn’t done just yet and has much more to accomplish, which he will do with his son Dominick.
  • The Miz defeats Cesaro via pinfall.
  • Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss versus Bayley and Becky Lynch ends in a Disqualification, when Sasha Banks interferes to beat up Becky.
  • Sasha eventually goes for a chair to hit Becky with, Bayley stops her and hits Becky herself. The show ends with Bayley hitting Becky with a chair as a satisfied Sasha looks on.
