WWE Monday Night RAW Results – 3rd February 2020

Paige Brearley runs down the results from tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

After an emotional ending last week, will Randy Orton be able to give the WWE Universe a real explanation?

We see a video recap of Orton’s actions before he makes his entrance. A rather emotional Orton takes a few moments before entering the ring. Any time he puts the mic to his mouth, the crowd drowns him out with their displeasure. Orton leaves the ring without giving an explanation, stating ‘I can’t do this.’

Liv Morgan defeated Lana via Pinfall

In the never ending storyline, we see Liv defeat Lana. It was a quick match.

After the match, Ruby Riott made her long awaited return to WWE. Liv seemed to have no idea she would be there, but things did not stay happy. Riott attacked her best friend, leaving Liv vulnerable to an attack from Lana.

Before his match with Mojo Rawley, Drew McIntyre had a few things to say. He thanked he crowd for coming to the show even though there was a blizzard. Then warned Rawley that when he puts the mic down, he’ll Claymore Kick him right in the middle of the ring.

He addressed Brock Lesnar, saying that Lesnar is apprehensive of him. At Wrestlemania, McIntyre said he’ll knock Lesnar’s head off and finally become WWE Champion.

Drew McIntyre defeated Mojo Rawley via Pinfall (Claymore Kick)

He told Mojo he would only need three seconds and he he was right. McIntyre didn’t even need to take off his ring jacket.

Backstage we see Buddy Murphy, along with AOP, interviewed by Charly Caruso. Caruso asked about their strategy going into their six man tag team match. Murphy said they already won tonight’s match because they are on the right side of history. He said Kevin Owens and the Viking Raiders are working harder, not smarter.

Seth Rollins shows up and tells the three to go get ready for their match, he’ll end the interview. Rollins says things have a funny way of working themselves out. Redemption is a beautiful thing according to Rollins. Rollins says he’ll win the triple threat match tonight and go on to beat Brock Lesnar.

AOP and Buddy Murphy defeated The Viking Raiders and Kevin Owens via Pinfall (Popup Spine-buster)

For the second week in a row, Kevin Owens had to deal with Seth Rollins’s crew alone. Murphy got help from Rollins to eliminate Erik and Ivar got taken out due to a shoulder injury. KO fought back, but unfortunately even with eliminating two of his opponents, it wasn’t enough.

After the match, the crowd gave KO a standing ovation.

Ricochet gives his thoughts about the opportunity to possibly fight for the WWE Championship. He said although his chances are slim, he is determined and the opportunity means everything.

Aleister Black defeated Eric Young via Pinfall (Black Mass)

Eric Young really never got much offense in unfortunately. Aleister made quick work.

Aleister, after the match, said as a kid he was told he could be whatever he wanted to be, which drives him. He gives the RAW roster another warning, that competition is coming.

After a recap of the Andrade/Humberto Carrillo feud, Humberto makes his entrance. Shocked by who his opponent turns out to be, his cousin Angel Garza accompanied by Zelina Vega.

Vega explains Garza’s presence to Carrillo as, ‘nobody smart plays fair.’ Carrillo messed with her business and now he will pay the price. Garza is the hottest Latino prospect and Carrillo’s weakness.

Once in the ring Garza tells Carrillo that he maybe shocked to see him, but he knows Garza is the true leader of their family. Carrillo doesn’t get the chance to verbally defend himself, as Vega slaps him and then Garza attacks. Before Garza can DDT Carrillo on the exposed concrete, Rey Mysterio makes the save.

Rey Mysterio defeated Angel Garza via DQ

Of course the match between Garza and Carrillo did not take place, but we got Mysterio versus Garza instead. It was shaping up to be a great match, that is until Zelina caused a distraction. This distraction got Garza the momentum and he exposed the concrete on the outside, giving Mysterio a DDT which caused the match to be thrown out.

Charlotte makes her entrance to announce who she will be facing at Wrestlemania. She says she has held the RAW Women’s Championship and beat Becky Lynch. Charlotte has also held the Smackdown Women’s Championship and has beaten Bayley. As a ten time champion, she still wants more. Chants for Rhea Ripley ring out. Charlotte says she has love for NXT and NXT has love for their Queen.

Before Charlotte can continue, Rhea Ripley interrupts. Once Ripley gets to the ring, she tells Charlotte that while she can challenge for any title at Wrestlemania, why not be a person she hasn’t beaten? The two have a short stare down before Charlotte leaves the ring, meaning we still don’t know who Charlotte has picked for her Mania opponent.

A confident Bobby Lashley is certain he will win the number one contenders match to go on and face Brock Lesnar.

Asuka defeated Natalya via Submission (Asuka Lock)

Nattie put up a good fight, but a distraction by Kairi Sane led to her defeat.

Afterwards, The Empress of Tomorrow calls out Becky Lynch. Of course The Man obliges. Asuka says she wants a rematch and Lynch couldn’t be happier to give her one. Says the only thing better than kicking her ass once, will be to do it twice. The rematch is set for next week.

We move to our main event with Seth Rollins making his way to the ring. Rollins says good things come to those who stand on the right side of history. Rollins says that he will once again beat Brock Lesnar. He then points out how the response he got for the same promise last year is entirely different. He kept his promise and defended the title, but got crucified for it. He forgives the crowd and says he’ll win the title for a greater purpose.

Ricochet defeated Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley via Pinfall (630)

In the beginning, Rollins’s disciples tried to help out, it being a no DQ match and all it made sense. But Kevin Owens and Erik evened the odds a bit and they had chairs. Ricochet eventually pinned Bobby Lashley after everything settled down.

Unfortunately for Ricochet, we end RAW with Brock Lesnar attacking him with a F5.
