WWE NXT Results – 10th July, 2019

Matty Deller runs down the results from last night’s episode of WWE NXT.

After Io Shirai’s shocking attack on Candice LeRae a few weeks ago, what will she have to say to the NXT audience? Also, can Lorcan & Burch upset Raw’s newest superstars, The Street Profits?

  • Io Shirai came out with new entrance music and a new look. After the crowd refuses to let her speak Io says “She doesn’t have any friends, and she doesn’t need any of us.” before dropping the mic and leaving.
  • NXT North American Champion Velveteen Dream held a press conference. One reporter asked about his contender, but Dream refuses to answer as it was not an approved question. Cathy Kelley asks about Roderick Strong being a potential challenger, only for Dream to dismiss that and end the press conference.
  • Damian Priest defeated Blanco Loco via pinfall.
  • Another Killian Dain vignette played, with him talking about The Troubles in Northern Ireland. He says that everything was taken from him, so now he plans to take anything he wants.
  • NXT Breakout Tournament First Round: Jordan Myles defeated Boa via pinfall.
  • A reporter asks Shayna Baszler about Mia Yim. Baszler mocked her backstory and says it is going to take more than a story to impress Baszler when the story ends the same way — tap, nap, or snap.
  • A video package aired with Keith Lee talking about his up-and-down first year in NXT. He says he has yet to reach his goal of being “limitless,” so in his second year in NXT he will be “infinite.”
  • NXT General Manager William Regal announces that SmackDown Live superstar Apollo Crews will return to NXT to face KUSHIDA next week.
  • Nigel McGuinness also announces that Adam Cole will have his first NXT Title defence next week.
  • NXT Tag Team Champions The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) defeated Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch to retain their titles via pinfall.
  • Post-match, The Undisputed Era’s Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish clap them from the ramp.
