WWE NXT Results – July 31st, 2019

Matty Deller runs down the results from last night’s episode of WWE NXT.

We have one spot remaining in the Breakout Tournament finals, one man going to war against a gang of mercenaries and one Bruising Brit vowing to take over North America. Who will end up on top as we head to Toronto?

  • Tyler Breeze defeated Jaxson Ryker via pinfall.
  • Post-match, The Forgotten Sons attack Breeze until Fandango comes out for the save. They clean house and celebrate in the ring.
  • We see a video of Candice LeRae attacking Io Shirai last week. We see LeRae pacing around outside, waiting for Io to arrive.
  • NXT Breakout Tournament Semi-Final: Cameron Grimes defeated Bronson Reed via pinfall.
  • Earlier today, Matt Riddle is asked about Killian Dain. Riddle says if Dain wants to make an impact why not fight him face-to-face instead of attacking him from behind.
  • NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler comes to the ring to talk about Mia Yim. She says Mia Yim delivered a message on commentary and she heard it. She talks about Mia attacking Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir from behind and says this isn’t the streets, and that on the biggest stage she’s gonna put her to sleep because street rats like her don’t survive. Mia Yim Interrupts and asks if she’s scared, and says at NXT TakeOver: Toronto she’s bringing a fight Shayna can’t train for.
  • NXT GM William Regal approaches Candice LeRae and tells her that he told Shirai to not come to the building. LeRae asks if she can face Io at TakeOver Toronto, to which Regal agrees.
  • Pete Dunne defeated Roderick Strong via submission.
  • Post-match. Velveteen Dream sneaks into the ring and faces off with Dunne as Strong screams from ringside that the title is his. As Dream poses, Dunne grabs his fingers and snaps them, followed up by hitting The Bitter End on Dream to stand tall.
