In Memory of Jon Huber aka Luke Harper

We began RAW with a tribute to Jon Huber, then we got the regular intro for RAW.

In the Thunderdome, Tom Phillips welcomed us to the show with “Its Monday, you know what that means.” Then the WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre came down to the ring. McIntyre gave his own little tribute to Huber before he thanked the WWE Universe for being so supportive of him this year. Then he looked to the future, next week’s legends show and the possibility of defending his championship against Keith Lee or his best friend, Sheamus.

As soon as Sheamus’ name was spoken, his music hit. Magic y’all, magic.

Sheamus apologized for the interruption, which McIntyre didn’t buy in the least. McIntyre asked him not to pull any crap in their match last week, but of course Sheamus reminded him that he kept his word…during the match.

Sheamus then went through the history McIntyre and him share. He even brought up the fact their dream was to be WWE Champion and now they are a week a way from possibly facing each other for the championship. McIntyre said he wants the match as well, but the locker room could get uncomfortable with how physical it gets.

Sheamus brought up Keith Lee again, which you know led to Lee’s music hitting! Lee thought it was cute to see the two best friends and even said McIntyre looked proud of Sheamus. He then said there is zero trust after last week. Lee said McIntyre’s word is worth just as much as Sheamus’.

Sheamus explained that he kicked Lee’s head off last week because of his mouth! An argument started to go down, which McIntyre got in the middle of before it got worse. McIntyre then suggested they start RAW off right with Lee versus Sheamus.

Keith Lee defeated Sheamus via Pinfall (Spirit Bomb)

A hard hitting match between the two rivals and as commentary put it, a personal match. The match went to the outside a few times, even seeing Sheamus jump off the top rope to Lee on the outside into the announce desk. Lee and Sheamus took their opportunity and brought it. Sheamus got pounced out of the air by Lee and that nearly spelled the end.

After the match, Lee and Sheamus had a stare down.

Then backstage we saw Elias playing guitar for Jaxson Ryker when someone knocked on the locker room door. Ryker was about to yell at the person making the intrusion, but Elias told him to ignore them.

We then saw The Miz make his entrance before we went to commercial break.

Gran Metalik defeated The Miz via Pinfall (Sunset Flip)

Yes, yes you are reading that right! Metalik pulled off a huge upset by defeating Miz. It was a great showing for Metalik, while the Miz looked pretty upset and depressed.

Backstage Elias was still playing guitar when someone again knocked loudly on the door. Omos and AJ Styles barged in the room. Styles said Omos was trying to listen to Mozart and he was trying to talk on the phone with WWE Management. Things got a bit heated and Styles wound up challenging Elias to a match latter in the night.

Before heading to another commercial break, Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose made their entrance to the ring.

Shayna Baszler defeated Dana Brooke via Submission (Kirifuda Clutch)

Brooke looked to be in control for a short time in the beginning of the match, but it didn’t last. Brooke made a short comeback after saving Rose from Baszler taking her arm out yet again. In the end Baszler won the match and left the tag team laying in the ring.

Before heading to commercial break, we got a recap on Randy Orton and The Fiend’s recent history.

Back from commercial, Alexa Bliss was swinging on her playground. Bliss said she can’t wait to show The Fiend the things she’s built with the playground. Of course she hasn’t seen him since the Inferno match at TLC, when things got a little heated, haha.

Then Bliss said he may be back at Legend’s Night to meet his hero…Hulk Hogan or wait for Randy Orton to come to the playground. Bliss then called Orton out to the ring.

Orton’s music began, but he was no where to be found. When he didn’t come down, Bliss thought she did something wrong and Orton didn’t want to help her find The Fiend. She tried again and still Orton didn’t come down.

All of a sudden Orton entered the Firefly Funhouse! While Orton appreciated Bliss’s invitation to the ring, he wanted to take advantage of an empty Funhouse. Orton destroyed the puppets! If The Fiend does decide to come back, Orton said he was going to make sure he had nothing to come back to.

Before Orton could, destroy the Funhouse even more Bliss challenged Orton to meet her in the ring later tonight.

We then took a look back at Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair’s history, going back to when Jax injured Flair in June. After the recap, Flair was interviewed by Charley Caruso. Flair said she was absolutely ready for her one on one match with Jax. While Jax is a good competitor, Flair always bets on herself. Flair ended the interview by saying her New Years Resolution was to climb to the top and stay there.

Before a commercial break, AJ Styles and Omos made their entrance to the ring.

AJ Styles defeated Elias via Pinfall (Phenomenal Forearm)

Elias hit Drift Away and commentary couldn’t believe that Styles kicked out. The two competitors put on a good match up, where it seemed either man could have walked away victorious.

After the match we got a video showing us the recent history between Ricochet and Retribution. Then Ricochet made his entrance to the ring before we took another commercial break.

Mustafa Ali defeated Ricochet via Submission (Kofi Clutch)
Charlotte Flair defeated Nia Jax via DQ
The Hurt Business defeated Jeff Hardy, Matt Riddle, and The New Day via Submission (Hurt Lock)

We ended the show with Alexa Bliss and Randy Orton. Bliss came down the ring in a black dress, so definitely not ready for a match.

Once Orton came down to the ring he demanded to know where The Fiend was. According to Bliss this challenge had nothing to do with him and everything to do with her. Bliss left the ring and grabbed a gift that was near ringside.

Once she brought the gift into the ring and opened it, we found out a box of matches and gasoline were inside. Bliss brought the items to Orton and laid them at his feet. Then she challenged Orton to do what he did to The Fiend to her. Yes folks, she asked Orton to set her on fire just like he did to The Fiend.

Orton looked like he was contemplating the challenge in the corner of the ring, but he wasn’t really for it. Bliss continued to try and get him to set her on fire. She grabbed the jug of gasoline and poured a line of gasoline to her. Orton still wasn’t convinced. So Bliss poured more gasoline, eventually pouring the entire jug on HERSELF.

Orton eventually grabbed the matches. While Orton said he wanted to do it, he was processing. While he was processing the lights began to go out.

Orton struck a match and stared into the camera. Before anything could happen….THE SHOW ENDED!
