The night started with John Morrison in the ring introducing the NEWWWWWWWWW WWE champion, The Miz. We are treated to a celebration in full swing with pyro and explosions.

The Miz states proudly that he rose above expectations equating himself to baseball legend, Babe Ruth. He was interrupted by Bobby Lashley, with MVP in tow.

MVP reminded The Miz that Lashley made this happen. he feels that The Miz owes Lashley a shot at his championship. The Miz does not agree, dancing around the idea of it but Lashley offers an ultimatum: The answer comes tonight or else!

Matt Riddle defeated John Morrison via Pinfall

After meeting each other in the triple threat match last night. Riddle and Morrison put on a pretty decent contest. Morrison tried for a quick pin, but Riddle wouldn’t be put away that easily. Riddle was able to catch Morrison in a triangle choke, but Morrison got to the ropes. In the end, Morrison missed Starship Pain, as Riddle countered with the Bro Derek for the win.

This Is My Brutality!

Its official, Rhea Ripley is heading to Monday nights!!

Baddest of Bunnies

Returning from commercial break, commentary hyped Bad Bunny’s appearance on Saturday Night Live and cameras went backstage where Bad Bunny and Damian Priest were hanging out.

Bad Bunny talked about how the 24/7 championship was just the beginning for him and with Priest by his side, well he’s going to hold the title for a while. Priest then spotted R-Truth hanging out nearby with a referee. Truth tried to play dumb like he wasn’t attempting to get his baby back.

Countdown to the Miz-cision

After a recap of what happened between Lashley and Miz, we once again went backstage. Miz was yelling at Adam Pearce. Pearce said he actually agreed with him, but Miz still has to step up and make a decision. Time is almost up for Miz.

The New Day vs Retribution

While the two big men of Retribution looked to be on their way to destroying The New Day, they ultimately failed. After hitting their double choke slam maneuver, Mustafa Ali didn’t think it was enough. Ali called for them to go for another double choke slam. This time Woods was able to pull the rope on T-Bar, bringing him to the floor.

As you can imagine, Ali was livid. After the match, all of Retribution was in the ring and Ali just yelled at them. He said he was tired of being embarrassed and having everyone fail him.

Because I’m The Miz and I’m…..Un-Decided

When we returned from break, it was time for The Miz to give an answer to Bobby Lashley.

Adam Pearce was in the ring and introduced Bobby Lashley. Once Lashley got to the ring, The Miz’s music hit. The Miz came out with John Morrison but unlike Lashley, Miz was not in his wrestling gear. Understandably, Lashley is ticked off.

The Miz said he needs more time because he cares about the prestige of the WWE Championship. He went on to say he wants to be at his very best when they do have a match.

BRAAAAUUUUUUUNNNN!!!

The Monster Among Men had been feeling left out. Strowman said he should get a title opportunity and then complained about not being added to the Elimination Chamber match. He went on to say he was more than qualified….hello former Universal Champion over here. Then? Well, another interruption.

Here Comes The Money!

Shane McMahon told Pearce he needed to learn how to control his show. He told Strowman that the match last night featured former champions, former WWE Champions which Strowman is not. Shane came up with a match stipulation: Bobby Lashley versus Braun Strowman. If Strowman wins, the WWE Championship match next week will become a Triple Threat Match.

The Hurt Business vs Lucha House Party

This match was contested under Tornado Tag rules, meaning just a bunch of chaos. In the end, The Hurt Business stuck to their game plan, as MVP told us on commentary, to defeat LHP.

Damian Priest vs Angel Garza

Garza actually brought a big fight to Priest, knocking the big man down multiple times. Although Garza looked like he was on the verge of a victory, he focused on Bad Bunny a bit too much. This caused Priest to be able to takeover and led to his victory.

After the match, Akira Tozawa, Drew Gulak, and others hit the ring in search of Bad Bunny. With the help of Priest, Bad Bunny cleared the ring and then we went to commercial.

Black Ooze

Returning from break we went backstage to see Randy Orton. Orton said he isn’t used to failure, but lately it has been a big part of his life. He then said he should have won the gauntlet match last week and had an advantage going into the Elimination Chamber. Instead he was the first person eliminated last night.

Now Orton is left trying to find what is distracting him. He said it can’t be The Fiend because he got rid of him. The Fiend was his distraction, now Orton believes his distraction is Alexa Bliss. Orton spits up a black substance after we see Alexa being spooky in the middle of a Pentagram.

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs Asuka and Charlotte Flair

After a miscommunication, Flair accidentally kicked Asuka in the face. Flair and Baszler then continued their fight to the outside, leaving Asuka vulnerable. Jax hit Asuka with the leg drop for the victory. After the match Flair stared down Asuka and then walked off.

Sheamus vs Jeff Hardy

Sheamus jumped on Hardy early, not giving him room to breathe. Sheamus was really on a rampage, but Hardy fought back, only to be taken out by a huge clothesline. The action spilled outside the ring where Hardy got the upper hand.

Sheamus kept dealing out blows back in the ring. Hardy managed to take advantage of a misfire from Sheamus hitting a Whisper in the Wind. Sheamus landed a big knee, following up with the Brogue Kick for the win.

Lana and Naomi defeated Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke via Pinfall

Rose and Brooke had good offense early in the match. Lana managed to, after a lot of isolating from the opposing team, find a way to tag in Naomi and after dropping Brooke they pair hit a double facebuster for the win.

AJ Styles vs Ricochet

Ricochet was aggressive off the bat, landing a stiff dropkick, but Styles came back with the offense quickly.

Ricochet missed the 630 but landed carefully on his feet, Styles utilized an eye gouge and knee to the face to stun Ricochet, hit the Styles Clash, and gets the win.

Bobby Lashley vs Braun Strowman

The two men started pushing each other around and downing each other on the mat to display feats of strength. Strowman gained an early advantage, throwing Lashley outside of the ring. Strowman hit the steps, wiping him out. Strowman shook this off and managed to land a Powerslam for a pin attempt, but Lashley kicked out. Lashley came in hot and landed a spear, pinning Strowman in the middle of the ring.

The WWE Championship match next week is now a Triple Threat!
