Lots of questions going into TLC, like the whereabouts of Daniel Bryan and who will answer the Viking Raiders open challenge. Will any be answered tonight?
Kickoff Show: Humberto Carrillo defeated Andrade via pinfall
The two Mexican superstars went toe to toe in a fantastic match, with Andrade taking control by dumping Carrillo to the outside and Carrillo hitting a brutal corner dropkick to the face, that busted open Andrade. We nearly got a repeat of Monday with Vega and Andrade running into one another, but Carrillo kept up his momentum with a beautiful top rope poison hurricanrana and the moonsault for the win.
Post-match, Andrade shoved Zelina Vega away and walked out on her.
The main show opens with a video package narrated by Bray Wyatt, its called the TLC Edition of the Firefly Funhouse. He says that naughty or nice, everyone needs some TLC.
The New Day defeated The Revival to retain the Smackdown Tag Team Championships
This was the perfect match to open the show. From the Revival’s impeccable teamwork to Big E’s insane strength and Kofi’s innovative style, this match had it all.
We go backstage where King Corbin is being interviewed. He says he isn’t afraid of Roman Reigns and that tonight Reigns will bend the knee.
Aleister Black defeated Buddy Murphy via Pinfall (Black Mass)
Match of the night by a long shot. This was everything you would have expected it to be. Black and Murphy absolutely destroyed each other and while Black got the victory, it looked like he walked out with a broken nose.
After the match, we see Rusev being interviewed about his upcoming match with Bobby Lashley. Rusev says that he will be thrilled for Lashley and Lana to get married because by law he wouldn’t have to pay Lana alimony. He may be single, but he is never alone because everyday is Rusev day!
Viking Raiders vs The OC ends in a double countout
This was just disappointing honestly. They could have really done something with it, but they chose not too. Best part of this was Karl Anderson being put through the KFC table that was randomly at ringside.
The Miz gives a very emotional and passionate interview about his match with Bray Wyatt. A refreshing side of Miz to see.
King Corbin defeated Roman Reigns via Pinfall (End of Days on steel chair)
The match started with shenanigans and ended with them as well. Corbin had his security team attempt to attack Roman on his entrance. Later on the Revival and Ziggler helped out the King. At one point it seemed like Reigns was facing ten people. Unfortunately, Reigns just couldn’t withstand the numbers game.
Bray Wyatt defeated the Miz via Pinfall (Sister Abigail)
This one was so odd, but seeing Wyatt’s character growth is amazing. Being able to pull off two different characters basically at the same time is amazing.
After defeating the Miz, the Fiend appeared on the torn. Wyatt in preparation for the Fiend’s arrival, grabbed a giant mallet from under the ring. Just when the lights begin to go out and everyone thinks its time for the Fiend to arrival, Daniel Bryan appears. Bryan hits the running knee and takes off the hood of his sweatshirt to reveal a new haircut.
Bryan went to grab the mallet, but by the time he went to use it the lights went out and Wyatt was gone.
Bobby Lashley defeated Rusev in a Tables Match
We head backstage this time to see the Street Profits, but they don’t get to talk to the WWE Universe for long. Seemingly out of nowhere a brawl between Roman Reigns, Baron Corbin, The New Day, and the Revival take over the backstage area.
Kabuki Warriors defeated Charlotte and Becky Lynch to retain the Women’s Tag Team Championships
This match was all over the place. The women pulled out all the stops and used the weapons around ringside to their advantage. At one time Becky was tied up to a ladder, it was nuts.
The show ended with the brawl between Corbin and Reigns spilling out into the arena. Reigns took a guardrail off one of the stairs and hit Corbin with it. The two ended up higher than the rest of the locker room fighting and Reigns hit a spear on Corbin. The two men landed on the locker room as the show closes.
