WWE: William Regal, Among Multiple Performace Centre Staff, Released

More releases to ring in the bells of 2022, with William Regal heading the pack this time around.

William Regal, a sure-fire WWE Hall of Famer, has been with the company since the Summer of 2000 and was most known for playing the British Pompous Character but was always one of the best wrestlers in the company, and was often the on-screen General Manager. Highly underrated.

Regal had been the on-screen General Manager of NXT from July 2014 until the NXT 2.0 relaunch in September 2021. Regal was also labelled as the WWE Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting, overseeing Performance Center tryouts and scouting various Independent shows to look for WWE talent. Regal retired from in-ring competition in 2013, last wrestling Cesaro on the Christmas 2013 episode of the program.

Other released staff are as follows;

  • Road Dogg – had been working as a producer in WWE since 2014, most notably helping at the WWE Performance Center and with NXT.
  • Scott Armstrong – who has worked as a producer and referee, was originally furloughed in April 2020 but eventually brought back.
  • Ace Steel – signed as a coach in November 2019, furloughed in April 2020, and returned in October 2020.
  • Dave Kapoor – worked as a writer on the brand (Formerly Ranjin Singh) and Ryan Katz, hired in June 2013, was the associate producer of NXT.
