It is finally time to discover what exactly a Firefly Funhouse match is.
Charlotte Flair defeated Rhea Ripley via Submission (Figure Eight)
These two women brought it and opened night two of Mania in a great way. It had looked like Ripley was going to gain the early victory, after hitting Riptide but Charlotte kicked out. Ripley tried to continue as if Charlotte’s kick out didn’t phase her, but it did. Charlotte attacked Ripley’s leg and from there it was history.
Aleister Black defeated Bobby Lashley via Pinfall (Black Mass)
Although this match didn’t seem to make much sense, it actually wasn’t too bad. Lashley could have had the victory, but instead listened to Lana to go for a spear. Wrong choice, he was hit with a Black Mass easily.
Otis defeated Dolph Ziggler via Pinfall (Caterpillar)
Sonya Deville accompanied Ziggler to the ring and tried to get him the victory. Shortly after she tried to interfere, Mandy Rose made her presence known. Rose slapped Sonya in the face and then gave Ziggler a low blow.
After Otis got the victory, he picked up Rose and got a kiss. Otis had a pretty successful Mania.
Edge defeated Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match
The match started off with Orton pretending to be a cameraman. He caught Edge from behind with an RKO. Soon the match went throughout the PC, it was a nice little tour of the place. Edge looked great, he had many moments showing his extreme side. This worked out for him in the end, as he defeated Orton with a Con-Chair-To.
Before the next match, Mojo Rawley was chased to ringside by a bunch of WWE Superstars. Rob Gronkowski wound up jumping from the balcony, pinning Rawley to become the 24/7 Champion.
The Street Profits defeated Angel Garza and Austin Theory to retain the RAW Tag Team Championships
The end of this match was phenomenal. As Austin Theory had Angelo Dawkins pinned, Montez Ford hit a frog splash off the top rope to break it up. This Frog Splash led to Dawkins being able to get the pin.
After the match, Theory and Garza attacked the champions. Zelina Vega even ended up getting involved, slapping and kicking around Ford. Bianca Belair ended up coming out to make the save. In the end The Street Profits and Belair stood tall.
Bayley retained the Smackdown Women’s Championship by pinning Lacey Evans
The order of elimination went as followed: Tamina, Naomi, Sasha Banks, and Lacey Evans. Sasha and Bayley had some miscommunications, in fact Bayley didn’t even stop Evans from pinning Sasha. Even with the miscommunications, Sasha still helped Bayley retain her title.
The Fiend defeated John Cena via Pinfall
I honestly have no idea what a Firefly Funhouse is still. Throughout the match we saw past versions of both Cena and Bray Wyatt. In the end The Fiend got the victory with Bray Wyatt making the count.
Drew McIntyre defeated Brock Lesnar to become the new WWE Champion
Four Claymore kicks. FOUR. It wasn’t a very long match, McIntyre did last through multiple F5s and suplexes. In the end Lesnar couldn’t defeat the Claymore.
We ended the show with McIntyre being able to celebrate his victory.
