MLW POSTPONES LIVE EVENTS FOR 45 DAYS

Major League Wrestling will be suspending live events for 45 days due to the coronavirus. Their upcoming ‘Intimidation Games’ TV tapings in Chicago have been moved from Apr. 18th to June 12th.

In a statement, MLW have said;

Due to the on going pandemic, Major League Wrestling has decided to temporarily suspend promoting live events for at least 45 days, effective immediately.  

At the appropriate time, the league will communicate plans for promoting live events outside of the 45-day temporary hiatus and update the status of league events. 

MLW will continue to air its Fusion events on beIN SPORTS and YouTube.

AAA POSTPONES REY DE REYES 2020

AAA’s Rey de Reyes event which was scheduled for March 21st in Merida on the Yucatan Peninsula has been postponed.

This was set to be headlined by the first match ever between the Psycho Circus (the reunited Psycho Clown, Murder Clown & Monsther Clown) and La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush, LA Park & Bestia del Ring). In addition, Kenny Omega was to defend the AAA Mega Heavyweight Championship against Laredo Kid and other U.S based talent like Michael Nakazawa, Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, Pentagon Jr., and Fenix were all set to appear on the show.

CMLL CANCELS EVENTS

CMLL, the world’s oldest wrestling company, announced today that effective immediately, every show that they were planning to run is on hold due to COVID-19.

They had already announced previously that their Guadalajara shows on Sundays and Tuesdays were off.

This coming Friday’s show was one of their biggest events of the year, El Homeaje a Dos Leyendas, built around Felino vs. Cavernario in a hair vs. hair match.

This was the last major promotion that was still running regular events in front of live crowds, meaning all major promotions are no longer running events with an audience.

HOUSE OF HARDCORE 58 CANCELLED

Tommy Dreamer has announced that House of Hardcore’s April 11th event is cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

House of Hardcore 58 was going to take place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.

According to PWInsider, all events currently scheduled for the 2300 Arena have been cancelled or postponed until Ring of Honor’s Quest for Gold on April 24th.

NJPW ANNOUNCES NEXT SET OF NJPW TOGETHER CONTENT

NJPW has announced the third wave of NJPW Together programming, the series created after the promotion had to cancel several of their events because of the coronavirus pandemic.

In place of the cancelled New Japan Cup finals on March 20th and 21st, NJPW will be bringing a two-part special audience with Kazuchika Okada and major Japanese TV personality So Takei. Then on March 25th will be an evening with Kazuchika Okada and Tiger Hattori.

Several matches will also be released from the NJPW archives.
